I don't mind favs without comments
I could have been someone
Well so could anyone
You took my dreams from me
When I first found you
I kept them with me babe
I put them with my own
Can't make it all alone
I've built my dreams around you
- from Fairytale of New York by the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl
As well as making something festive and sparkly, I wanted
to try and recreate that feeling of abstract light and reflection
that looking at shiny decorations evokes...the way it's hard
to focus on any one thing for any length of time and although
you're aware of objects and lines, the shapes kind of merge into
a glittery mass of happiness.
It's surprisingly difficult to shoot a photo that's slightly out
of focus. Totally sharp is easy. Totally blurry is easy. But just a
little bit soft and motion-y with edges that are still defined is kind
of tricky. It was fun trying though.
Happy whatever-you-celebrate!![]()
