You asked for more horror tutorials - you got 'em!
Who is this tutorial for? This tutorial is meant to be a starting point for experimentation with the use of physically created and applied colour and texture effects in photography, aimed specifically at those who would like to have a go at making their own concoctions from ingredients that can be easily and cheaply obtained from most supermarkets and grocery stores. This tutorial is only a starting point, describing a tiny fraction of the possibilities that your home, supermarket and imagination hold. Please bear in mind that colour and texture effects created with the use of lighting or digital editing are not included here!
Be careful. Srsly. I shouldn't need to say this, but I'm going to just in case. Whatever you do, don't go pouring crazy substances into your eyes (been there, done that, suffered greatly) or dousing your face or body with anything that isn't supposed to go on skin. Obviously I can't guarantee that you won't be allergic to any or all the substances referred to in this tutorial, so please be careful and if in doubt, do a patch test 48 hours before applying larger amounts of any concoction to your skin.
Got a recipe I haven't mentioned here? If you make awesome goo for your horror photos using ingredients or methods I haven't mentioned here and you'd like to submit a tutorial about it to dA, please send me a link so I can add your recipe to my Horror Tutorials collection and Horror Resource Guide.
