I heart coloured gels. Lots of pinkness and a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
The lighting is spectacular. It helps excentuate every little groove and curve of her face. Her eyes look especially fantastic. So deep. I also like how everything in the image is very curved and smooth, which then gives a beautiful contrast with the star earring, it makes it stand out, even though it blends in with the colours of the photo. The model is very beautiful too, not many people can pull off this angle well! I know i cant!
I know what you mean about gels. I used red ones in my film for some of the dancing scenes. Its so much fun to play with light!
Keep up the great work deary! Sorry i havn't commented in such a while!
Thank you for such an awesome comment! I'm usually very anti- this angle too and avoid it like the plague, but Anna's bone structure is so great I broke with tradition and did some upwards shots (not too much of a problem as she has about a foot in height on me!). Gels are totally my favourite thing. Although colours can be added or enhanced in digital processing, there's something special about actual coloured light that can't be replicated any other way and I love it
Frances did an awesome job with the make-up. She's an absolute star and I have another shoot planned with her on Thursday. Anna will also be featuring in a lot more photos. Not only is she fab, but she lives five minutes from me. Yay!
