Bury the envy
Weight around your cheque book
Addicted to everything
Bored with it all.

Cigarettes in bed
Distracted, relaxing
Mirror needs cleaning
Reflecting the wall.

Silence the voice
Razor in your watchstrap
Bleeding you dry
Without any pain.

Losing yourself in
Chemicals for living
Angel of grace
Wasted again.

I saw on picture, that has a german title, so I thougt in the first moment you are german, but in your profile stand that your from UK D:
But anyway, this picture looks awesome! I really like the idea of that. Are you using real piercings holes?

Thanks :aww:
Yes, they are real piercing holes. The padlock in the lower lip piercing was surprisingly heavy - it pulled my lip down at a really weird angle. Definitely not one for daily wear!

I admit, I haven't had the time to fully explore your gallery, and when I saw this I snapped my fingers and shook my head, because a concept like this was next on my list, I even have the lock and key. I thought I was being all original!
Either way, yours is exceptional. The dusty white face as a background and the piercing on the lower and upper lip really make it work - do piercings on the upper lip take longer to heal?

There are two things I've found that affect healing time for piercings more than anything else. The first is being in good health when you get pierced and the second is that no anaesthetic is used during the piercing.

The bottom lip piercing took forever to heal and was horribly swollen up for about a week, which I put down to having been working stupid hours and having had a cold for about a month prior to getting pierced. The one in my top lip was done by the same piercer using the same materials, but I was healthy when it was done and it healed a lot faster.

Since then, I've had another piercing done in my bottom lip, at the left hand side. The guy who did it uses no clamps or anaesthetic so while it stung a bit more at the time, I walked half a mile back to the car then drove home and ate a burger for dinner about an hour after getting pierced and had no pain whatsoever. For the first couple of days, it felt a bit achey when I woke up in the morning but was completely fine after just a few days.

I can't wait to see what you do with this concept. More people should be hanging cool stuff off their piercings and taking photos!

I never use anaesthetic for any piercing I get, I don't freeze, which is a blessing and a curse, considering I have children xD but I can say to somebody, stop being a baby, does it look like I cried! :boogie:
My bottom lip piercing didn't take very long to heal, but it WAS 15 years ago so my sense of healing might be skewed now a little, for all I know, it might have taken 6 months and been infected *chuckle. It's the top left I'm worried about and interested in knowing about, so thank you for the information. I'll try to make sure I'm healthy, I generally don't have any trouble when I get pierced (except my ears) but I'm nervous because besides the ears, I haven't had a new piercing in about 10 years, and especially to my face, I don't want to have to deal with the healing process being abnormally long in my older age.. No clamps, no freezing, those are rules I can follow.
There was never any clamp use when I first started getting pierced anyway, I can do that ^_^.

More people SHOULD hang things off their piercings ;). Considering how much that kind of thing doesn't hurt, even if it looks like it might, they can be a damn good prop :D

It wasn't painful but it felt really weird. The little padlock didn't feel heavy at all in my hand, but once I'd hung it on my lipring it was really hard to keep my mouth closed. A very strange feeling!

well I mean it would be painfull if it was real and imagine some one trying to try that key on that lock.
And I yes I can imagine that. Human lips are not strong muscles. It is some times shockingly strange to get to know parts of our body every now and then ;)

It felt way heavier hanging from my lip ring than it felt in my hand - it's surprising how heavy small things can be when attached to a piercing!
