One of my favourite things about this picture (apart from Ally looking cool as fuck) is the strange textured effect created by the yellow light against the black backdrop The backdrop is made completely smooth and slightly reflective black fabric stretched across a metal frame and I've never seen it look like this with any other colour of light. I should use more yellow.

God damn, beautiful, man. It's so hard to find GOOD pictures of guys on this site. It's 50 freaking pages of either clones, crappy stock pictures, or women. I mean...women are good, it's nice to have images of them for inspiration. BUT THEY TAKE UP 75% OF THE MODELING COMMUNITY ON THIS SITE. It's irritating and it's nice to see a beautiful picture with an interesting looking model for once.

I totally agree. I love photographing men mostly because it's something I rarely do in the course of work. =boxedphotos shoots the most amazing male portraits and #TheMaleSoul, #Death-Guys and #MenPhotos have awesome galleries too

Oooo. Thanks. I'll have to check those out for sure! I really need more good pictures of both men and women for references. I'm trying to make characters for a video-game I want to create. It's proving a difficult process since I don't really know them very well and looking through photos gives me a good idea of how I really want them to look. Not just one select photo. But one man's lips, another man's chin, another's eyes, another's ears, another's eyes, *sigh* It's nice to actually find a niche of good photos dedicated to capturing the less "pushily masculine" side of this that actually allows you into a different side of the model and a view of men. Thank you very much for this!
