Over to who?
I recently wrote a journal entitled Horror photographers, over to you!, about art, self-promotion and the art of self-promotion. I invited the readers of that journal to write an artist bio and choose some work from their own gallery to feature so that I could pimp them in a series of awesome news articles. Since not all my watchers are horror photographers, I have welcomed artists who shoot within other genres too.
Over to you!
You can see all the articles in the series here, and new ones will be added regularly. If you'd like to submit your own artist bio, check out the info here and send me a note. Obviously I'd prefer you to have at least one horror photo in your gallery, and the pieces of work which you choose to illustrate your bio must be photographic, preferably horror-themed. There's no time limit on this project and I'm happy to keep writing articles as long as people keep submitting bios.

!mzscarecrow1313, AKA Brittany, says "My name is Brittany McMillan. I am currently an East coaster living in San Diego. San Diego is the place you want to be if your into the old school goth and punk scene. I am currently getting ready to go back to school to get my masters in photography and the culinary arts. What i want to do is work in a bakery and do freelance photography as a career, so I can have the freedom of doing what I want, while sucking down as much coffee as I can at Lestats"
"I was raised on horror movies and alternative music my dad was the metal head while my mom would be considered an 80's goth. I was always encouraged in high school to stick with photography by my family and they didn't mind my zombie art or batted an eye at my corset and vinyl sessions with friends. Or me blasting the Bauhaus and Wumpscut while shooting"

"Black and White photography is a norm for me. I prefer the classic horror movies over most modern ones. I think a Haunted house picture would send more chills down the spine when you don't know whats coming towards you when its black and white. Color does however have a place for me when I am in my more cheesy moods and I am doing silly zombie shoots or If i have done latex makeup and the color needs to be shown. Sadly I am the only willing model to be dosed in blood so I do a lot of self timer work or sometimes I will have Pager help me with bigger things. Believe me folks laying in freezing blood is not fun so please show respect to all the horror models out there"

"I am always looking for practice, new models and new and spooky places to shoot in San Diego or when I am home in DC. I hope to bring horror photography back to the spot light and get up with the big guys. When I am more experienced I hope to bring new tricks to the trade"
"If a Deviant needs to impress his ghoul or her zombie i also post recipes and ways to give them a Victorian or Lily Munster Vibe for fun. I am also looking for critique/advice and job advice"
