I need to void the snozzle-shoots so regularly and copiously that any kind of hang-up I had would turn me into a human yo-yo. So I just blast away into a proper handkerchief, which adds a touch of decorum to the proceedings

Depends on where I am. I mean if I'm talking to someone let's say at the cashier at the supermarket, I'd turn like 180° away and excuse myself. If I'm not talking to anyone and I'm just idno, sitting at a cafe or an airport lounge, I'll blow away, unless it's something really nasty that involves CONSTANT blowing and... sometimes even hacking. PEOPLE GET PNEUMONIA. So. If it's a serious... event... idno, like dinner at a really nice place or a meeting, I excuse myself and clear the drains in the ladies' room.
