Are you female, do you shoot self-portraits and are you confident that your work is of a consistently high standard? (examples and explanation in my first comment)

I take pictures of myself playing with light and my webcam. I like my webcam cause it has a grainy look and I can turn them into my horror black and white pictures more easily in photoshop. I wouldn't call it high standard though XD I just like using myself cause I get the poses I want and can perfect them with multiple shots and take the good ones.
Hmm I have shot self portraits and will be doing more shortly but they're nothing like any of the examples even though I would say they were of high standards... I suppose because I tend to shoot in context and not closely framed.
It's certainly not a dominant theme in my gallery anyway
Yes, I am a female that takes a lot of self-portraits.. I hold myself to a consistently high standard that I feel I never seem to meet. I always try to DO something with the portraits.. (I despise doing 'look i'm pretty' ports just because) I try to create something of high quality that has meaning and adds something to the artistic community.. whether or not that's accomplished is more for my critics to comment on
I frequently come up with self-portraits, and agree with all of the questioned. I am confident that my work is not high standard to my "point of view", but the highest standard within my own capabilities (as an art student, I'm sure there's plenty left to learn)
I have taken a few self portraits but usually I don't like them so they do not get posted on here. I'm really hard on myself when it comes to pictures of me cause I have a confidence issue.. The examples you shared are really beautiful!

I do occasional self-portraits, some nude, others not...
